The nail is almost completely off one of my toes. It's the one you would consider the ';ring finger/toe.'; It doesn't hurt at all but I'm a little worried. It's only attached by the middle. What should I do? Take it off and/or what precautions before and after it comes off?Nail coming off toe?? please help?
Dont worry about it if it is dry and not raw. After it drop, keep it dry, avoid enclosed shoes.
however if beneath the nail is still raw, go to a clinic to get it removed and bandaged to prevent infection.Nail coming off toe?? please help?
Do NOT go to the emergency room like the first person suggested!! I just lost my big toe nail in June and it is about 1/2 grown back. Let it fall off itself, it will not hurt at all and if it does it will for about 2 seconds, like it did with mine, but that's because it was attached by a thin strand that still had nerves in it and i just ripped it off hahah.
it'll be kind of gross once it's gone but jsut wear a bandade or tape over it.
its really gross but when my dad was in the army he dropped a really heavy drum on his toe no once a month his big toe nail falls off... it grows back... if it doesn't hurt i would just take it off and dress it up with clean sterile dry dressing and wear flip flops of something so that it doesn't get sweaty
take a quick drive to the emergency room, they will tell you wat to do
