i suggest seeing a dermatologist. i'd probably soak it in peroxide or to try to kill the fungus. keep your feet dry when not soaking it.Can someone please help me! Bad nail fungus, painful swelling around big toe!! Help please!?
nail fungus is the only way to rid of it can usea tooth brush and every day brush with acholol (rubbing) it could take a year to clear there is meds to take for that it can help and clear it also it means you are not drying your feet off very good. there is stuff to damage the liver but you let the doctor check that all the time and he will. it sounds like you have ingrown toe nail . if you do you can cut v cut in the middle of the toe nail that hurts and it will relieve the pain. you have to cut nails straight across let it grow higher on the sides. take care.
Sorry I've never had this, but fungal infections can go to your blood if not treated on time. I've seen that happen so be on the safe side. Please dont let this go on any longer and visit your doctor asap. If there is swelling then it's very probable the infection will need oral meds to treat it. Whenever in doubt about a choice, ask yourself what action can bring about the best results with the least risks. Your best bet is to take both topical and oral medicines to help you win this fungus battle. As for your liver, im pretty sure it will be ok as long as you dont have a history of liver illness. Good Luck!!!
Is your nail growing into your skin? Because that is what is sounds like. Cut the nail as short as you can to like there is really very lil. I have to do this with all my toe nails because my nails enjoy growing into my skin and it gets puffy and red and hurts horribly and will get infected.

Try a topical spread like a neosporin or fungal gel. They sell those kind of things at the CVS or walgreens
use the small bottle of any fungicide. It is marketed under a lot of different names, but its basicly all the same. As long as it has anti-fungal in it , it will work. It wont work as fast as an RX, but i have used it on a fingernail %26amp; I recomend it. Its aapplied just like you apply nailpolish. Takes only seconds to dry. You can apply it 3 or 4 times a day. Good luck! Get your flip flops on %26amp; have a great summer!
my advice for you is to go to a podiatrist because they are the real experts when it comes to our feet. they are also the ones who know the right medication for your case. don't apply anything without getting his advice because that might get worse. go for a check-up now. hope i helped. good luck!
I suggest a podiatrist. How can you be sure it is a nail fungus? It could be an infection from improperly done pedicure. Have you had any professional pedicures? There have been many instances of nail infections from improperly sterilized equipment.
go to your local nail spa who may most likely advise you to see your doctor ASAP.

i've had something similar but not as bad as yours long before. it took two sessions of pedicures to get the ingrown taken out.

good luck and take care
Any oral medication you take will probably be so short-term that it won't damage your liver. So I wouldn't worry about that. But I would definitely see a doctor ASAP, before it gets worse.
SEE YA LOCAL CHIROPODIST

HE LL FIX YA
if there is pus release it with a needle

then clean with rubbing alcohol

and then put some polysporin
