Is it possible that I injured my toe by wearing nail polish??

Ok this may seem like a dumb question... but tell me if you think this is the possible cause...

So now that it is summer here in PA, I have had my toe nails painted a french manicure. I wear flip flops usually cuz it's soo hot %26amp; humid here. So I layer the coats of paint on pretty thick so that it doesn't chip. Since I don't have time to keep re-doing them every time the polish chips. I found that when I layer the coats, the manicure lasts for weeks or even months... So then the other day, I had to help my friend clean a really nasty apartment. So I put on my old sneakers. I was on my feet for four hours and by the end of it, my big toe nails hurt on both sides. Three days later it still really sore and painful. I just took the paint off and the toe nail to my big toe is really purpleish blue and really sore. Do you think it is possible that the polish made the nail so hard that it couldnt bend. Then the pressure from walking in the shoes put pressure on the nail. Since it couldn't bend it caused a bruise?? DO you think this is possible? Is it possible that I injured my toe by wearing nail polish??
Not completely sure if that possible, but it would also depend on how long your toenails were at the time, and also how tight your shoes are. If you left them kind of long, then the pressure of the shoes, tight or not, could have done that. It might have been a combination of both those, and possibly the heat from summer (not sure your average summer temps there, but Australian summer temps can be horrendously hot) will make your feet swell, making the shoes feel tighter.

I suppose it could be all these things, as well as the numerous layers of nail polish, that could cause the bruising. Is it possible that I injured my toe by wearing nail polish??
It is most likely from wearing sneakers again after having worn flip flops for so long where your feet weren't being so constricted. Your toes are just trying to adjust, I don't think the nail polish is harming you any.
its probly just sore from walking around for 4 hours.... haha im from PA too.

answer mine please????
